Message We want Idle Mode.. that is what the .45 Voltage does.. It Tells the ECU to to put the Timing at Base ( So you can set it ) and the Fuel Mixture is a function of Engine Water Temp, Air Temp. The O2's are not used at Idle, and for the AIV PROM it will expect some of the Idle Air to be going out the AIV's.. That is why the mixture will be wrong at Idle.. and in idle mode, the ECU will try to put the engine at a Idle Speed that is baised upon All the Various Temp Readings..
Idle Mode is when you set all the stuff..

If the ECU is not in Idle Mode when the car is idling, it will Hunt in Speed, and the Timing will be moving.. and the mixture will be hunting above/Below 14.7.. if you try to set the ignition Timing when the Car is not in Idle Mode, it will be Retarded ..

It's up to you about the ECU.. I have a JWT in the '95 NA, and it feels better than the '92 NA STOCK ECU in my '92 NA.. if that means anything..
